Hi,
We are using jena generic rule language to implement a large number of ontology
mapping rules mapping medical data from external domains into our own. Given
the large amount of map data in the rules it might help to capture the map data
in a model first allowing for querying and easier maintenance of the rules,
then generate the rules from the model at runtime. Do you know of any method
or process that can translate from a model representation of the rules to
generic rule language?
I'm not aware of anything.
Though, depending on what you mean by map data, it doesn't sound hard to
do. The hard bit is to decide on the granularity of representation you
want in your model. Whether to keep them as pretty much text blobs with
metadata or to break down to clauses or terms, or to have a custom
representation tailored to the style of map rules you are using.
