Hello All,

Quick question on Ontology and inferencing

If i have an RDF file with following statements

        A rdf:type e

I have loaded this file into a Jena Model

The OWL file has following statements in it

        e rdf:Type owl:Class

        b rdf:Type owl:Class

        e rdfs:SubclassOf b

[I imagine these are just typos in your email but RDF and OWL are case sensitive - rdf:type, rdfs:subClassOf]

How do i infer the statement

        A rdf:Type b ?

Will the inferencing automatically insert this statement into the
original model?

Yes if you configure the model with a suitable inference engine. You only need RDFS for that though it you are going to do more OWL things then go with OWLMicro.
