using IntelliJ IDEA and Gradle 3.3 I had following problem importing the Kafka project : Unable to build Scala project configuration Details: groovy.lang.MissingPropertyException: No such property: daemonServer for class: org.gradle.api.tasks.scala.ScalaCompileOptions I solved modifying the build.gradle adding the following options : ScalaCompileOptions.metaClass.daemonServer = true ScalaCompileOptions.metaClass.fork = true ScalaCompileOptions.metaClass.useAnt = false ScalaCompileOptions.metaClass.useCompileDaemon = false Now I can build under IntelliJ. I knwo it's not a problem from Kafka but could be it worth to mention in the landing page ?
