I think you mean MMS, not NMS.
The first phone to support MMS I believe is Ericsson T68, in the stores in
sweden next week actually :) With color screen �n gprs. The images and
"videos" etc. han no limit in MMS (the phones memory has limit
though). But the carrier of the message is WAP not the ordninary pdu that
sms/ems uses.

For EMS, which is supported by phones like ericsson t39, t65, t68 (All new
ericsson phones) and all new siemens also, I don�t think Nokia agreed to
the EMS standard, the data (pictures, iMelodies, animations etc) is coded
in the user data header in a sms pdu. You can download the specification
from http://www.mobileems.com. Each message can have 128 bytes of data,
but EMS message can be truncated into 255 128 bytes messages (Ericsson t39
supports only 6 though), containen 32*32 pictures, melodies animation
(16*16 pix) etc etc...
