Hello, I have just finished running some preliminary tests with Kannel - sending and receiving sms messages vai smpp to a smsc. Worked great! My next task is to run some benchmarking. I have yet to go through the benchmarking utils provided but have some general questions...
1) In my devlopment environment I don't have a connection to an _real_ smsc so for testing I have been setting up a fakesmsc. I have downloaded the Logica smsc simulator to test out and try - has anyone used or have experience with this? What about the fake smsc - does it make any sense to benchmark against a fakesmsc (ie; can it be configured to act like a real smsc)? Other suggestions here? 2) Does anyone have some comparitive benchmark results that they would be interested in posting (I will post mine on completion). Any thoughts/suggestions most appreciated.
