hey guys ...this is my first time on the list so i hope you can bear with me.
i recently tried out kannel for a project i have been working on. I am using version 1.0.3 at the moment. But my problem is that i am connecting to an smsc which is using smpp version 3.3 but that smsc disconnects after 5 mins of no activity/traffic so i have to restart bearerbox and smsbox i tried to edit the kannel-init.d script so that i can automate the restarting of the gateway but the thing is that it seems to queue messages for sometime before it sends out the messages. I am trying to eliminate this ..is there some kind of sleep() somewhere in the code or is there something i can edit to make sure it sleeps for the smallest amout of time. Cause i want to avoid delay. i hope this makes sense. I am running Kannel on SuSE
