You should also have the development package for libxml2. this is often called libxml2-devel.

Hi,

I am new to Kannel. I am trying to install the development version on Red Hat Linux 7.2. It gives the following error:

Checking for libxml2 support ...
checking for xml2-config... no
checking for xml-config... /usr/bin/xml-config
checking libxml version... 1.8.14
configure: error: libxml2 version 1.8.14 is too old. You need at least 2.2.5

When I check for the libxml2, the following is the result:

[root@testsms gateway-1.1.6]# rpm -q libxml2
libxml2-2.4.2-1

This shows that I have got the libxml2 2.4.2 on my system. Can anyone help in this regards.
