The best solution to hosting GSM sim's are GSM modems, these are similar to
external modems on a PC and they have a sim slot just like a mobile. Made by
Ericsson and others

For multiple modems a stallion board is used which allows up to 16 modems to
be attached, the stallion pci card ( which the stallion board connects to )
adds com ports to the pc for each modem connection.

We have successfully run multiple instances of kannel for each modem under
this type of setup for the last 18 months and it works well for low traffic.

Hope this helps

Subject: Hosting a SIM using CardPhone
Date: Wed, 24 Jul 2002 16:13:06 +0400

I am looking for a solution to host SIM without using any commercial phones
like 6210 7210 etc.
Has anybody tried hosting a SIM on Kannel using the Nokia Cardphone on a
Desktop PC (using a PCMCIA Slot Adapter)?
Is Nokia Premicell still available in the market?
Would appreciate any inputs.
Regards,
Srinivasa G
