It's responsible for the connections to the SMSCs and routing messages from the smsbox to the an smsc driver and back again. > setup-wise... i was thinking is it possible to run > multiple smsbox and > a single bearerbox in 1 PC... would it increase my efficiency > in terms of > handling a lot on sms messages? or would it be better to run > bearerbox on PC1 > and all smsboxes on PC2? We tried running several smsboxes, and its mostly isn't worth the effort. a single smsbox and bearerbox setup on a single reasonably powerful Intel box is capable of routing at least several dozens messages per second with minimal performance impact (we had the Linux running with average load of something like 0.1 ~ 0.2 under full load). I heard rumors on the list that Kannel can do several hundreds of messages per second - not that I know any network provider that allows that sort of access to their systems. -- Oded Arbel m-Wise mobile solutions [EMAIL PROTECTED] +972-9-9581711 (116) +972-67-340014 ::..
