Hi all,

I've just recently started using linux and have been porting our existing
web development work over from a win2k/coldfusion platform, which also
utilised kannel via cygwin.

I've moved to Redhat 7.2 and Apache 1.3.x as this is officially supported by
coldfusion. Everything was working great, then I installed kannel just
before our christmas break. On returning after the holidays I've noticed
that Apache will no longer run due to being unable to find libssl.so.2,
which is also required by another third party utility being used in our
applications.

The only thing I can think of which may have caused the seemingly mysterious
dissapearance of libssl.so.2 would be the kannel installation. I compiled
and installed kannel 1.20 successfully but have yet to get around to testing
the actual installation. Does anyone know if kannel does in fact replace or
remove libssl.so.2? I can't seem to find anything on it in the kannel
userguide.

BTW libssl.so.2 is part of the openssl toolkit.

TIA,
Dave
