Hi all,
I'm in the testing stages of setting up a UCP connection to an SMS
gateway (mind you; not an SMS-C). I'm assuming they act as an SMS-C in
this scenario however.
Whenever they have an MO message available for me, it seems they're
sending me a EMI/UCP 51 message, which according to my interpretation of
the documentation is a message submitted by the ESME to the SMS-C and
not the other way around. Hence, Kannel doesn't know how to handle this.
This is from the log:
2003-03-04 20:02:18 [5] DEBUG: EMI2[wireless-services]: Sending
operation type 60, message with password not shown in log file.
2003-03-04 20:02:19 [5] DEBUG: EMI2[wireless-services]: emi2 parsing
packet: <00/00019/R/60/A//6D>
2003-03-04 20:02:19 [5] DEBUG: EMI2[wireless-services]: Got packet from
the main socket
2003-03-04 20:02:19 [5] DEBUG: EMI2[wireless-services]: emi2 parsing
packet:
<00/00090/O/51/31655100000/31651408004/////////////////3//79722074657374////////1139/
////15>
2003-03-04 20:02:19 [5] ERROR: EMI2[wireless-services]: I don't know how
to handle operation type 51
Am I correct in the assumption they're *not* behaving like an SMS-C
should?
BTW: is there some explanation of the formatting of the packets used by
EMI2 (e.g. <00/00019/R/60/A//6D> or
<01/00097/O/51/0031651408004/003151408004/////////////////3//48656C6C6F20776F726C64/
////////////DB>)?
Regards,
Bas.
