Hm. I would focus on that; it appears the sms that is handled by smsbox is not sent to bearerbox if there's nothing visible in bearerbox's log. If it arrives at bearerbox, you should see the outgoing smpp packets. Did you turn on full (debug) logging etc.?
I do recall though that smpp doesn't log all that much, when I was troubleshooting an smpp connection, I added a lot of extra debugging in smsc_smpp.c to see what was happening.
BTW, is the sms-service configured correctly so MT goes to the right connection?
