Hi,

We are using nokia's here because it is 'just' a test system and we had the phones lying around. Do you know if there are any 'multi-sim' GSM modems? Otherwise we need about 8 seperate boxes.

Groeten,

Rene

Rene,

I have had the same problem, the only thing that works is restarting the phonesoftware. Switch to a real GSM modem like wavecom, that works a lot better and is more stable (and faster). The Nokia 6210 doesn't fully implement all AT commands, I have tried sim-buffering option but that doesn;t work either.  What is the reason of specifically using a Nokia 6210 as a GSM modem?

Kind regards/Met vriendelijke groeten,

Subject: Emptying Nokia 6210's SMS memory

Hi,

I'm using a few 6210's as smsc. I turned on sim-buffering so the sms'es in the inbox are deleted but
the phones sometimes still think they are full of messages and it doesn't receive any more messages.
When I then look in the inbox it is empty. Powercycling the phone fixes the problem.

How can you omit this problem? Can I tell the phone to not store messages on the sim? Can I add a  reset command?

Thanks,

Rene
