forgot to mention I'm using v1.2.1 on Debian Sid, and I'm trying to send an sms this way:
$ lynx -dump "http://localhost:13003/cgi-bin/sendsms?username=kannel&password=kannel&to=28127550&text=test";
Sent.
Do you think maybe using the development release of Kannel will help in any way?

Btw., thanks to Rudy for his info sent to this list on smsc and modems settings for the T68i.
