Unfortunately, you can't do it at all.
The sender can only be set with direct connections to (some) SMSCs. If you
use a cell phone or a terminal (like the wavecom), you can't provide the
sender address, since this is "automatically" added by the GSM net.

I am using kanel for sms sending and receiving with a wavecom modem.
Is it possible to change the sms sender number ?
When I send I always receive a sms from my real phone number.

Exemple:
If I send "hello" with kannel from my wavecom modem
/cgi-bin/sendsms?username=xxxx&password=xxxx&from=8888888888&to=0609xxxxxx&t
ext=hello

I receive a sms from the phone number of the chip in the modem and not from
"88888888"

How can I do that ?
