Hi, I have just downloaded the kannel version 1.3.1. While running "./configure" I'm getting following error

Running system checks ... checking host system type... ./config.guess: line 1: 3495 Aborted ( $c -c -o $dummy.o $dummy.c ) >/dev/null 2>&1 ./config.guess: line 1: 3498 Aborted ( $c -c -o $dummy.o $dummy.c ) >/dev/null 2>&1 i686-pc-linux-gnu checking for gcc... gcc checking whether the C compiler (gcc ) works... no configure: error: installation or configuration problem: C compiler cannot create executables.
