Hi,
Currently, I'm developing a SMS application using kannel-1.2.0-3.i386 on Red Hatv9.
Everything is going fine with the fakeSMSC. However, when I tried using Nokia 6210 as
the SMSC the bearerbox won't start. Below is my config file & the sample run:
CONFIG FILE:
group = core
admin-port = 13000
smsbox-port = 13001
admin-password = bar
log-file = "/tmp/kannel.log"
log-level = 1
box-deny-ip = "*.*.*.*"
box-allow-ip = "127.0.0.1"
unified-prefix = "00358,0"
group = smsc
smsc = at
modemtype = nokiaphone
device = /dev/ttyS0
group = smsbox
bearerbox-host = localhost
sendsms-port = 13013
global-sender = 123
log-file = "/tmp/smsbox.log"
log-level = 0
group = sms-service
keyword = nop
text = "You asked nothing and I did it!"
group = sms-service
keyword = default
text = "No service spesified"
group = sendsms-user
username = tester
password = foobar
SAMPLE RUN:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] root]# bearerbox /etc/kannel/smskannel.conf

What could be the problem? Btw, I'm using Nokia RS-232 cable adapter DLR-3P. Is this
cable adapter plug and play? Can anyone tell me how can I exactly configure the
serial port (/dev/ttyS0) so that kannel will work? I guess the port is might be
configured incorrectly.
Thanks for any future help.
Regards,
joe
