1. Configure sms-service for incoming smses. 2. On incoming sms, you can invoke some URL. 3. Kannel gives you text, from, to, time at which sms was received. You can write a CGI/Servlet program(this will be your URL mentioned in point 2) that accepts the params mentioned in point 3. I am sure many people on this list have this implementation in place.
