Hi All, I�m a brazilian user of Kannel and I�m having problem dealing with Data SMS Messages. I would like to ask for the help of somebody who had a similar a problem, or knows how to solve it.
When the SMSC sends a 8 bit message to pass byte data messages (DCS 04), kannel is interpreting it as a 7 bit message and transforming all the bytes to the corresponding values. For example, if I send the message "01h02h03h04h", kannel is receiving the messagem "�$��", which is the representation of the 7th bit alphabet. Can I change something on the "SMS Gateway" configuration on Kannel, so I can receive the actual bytes? Is the variable "alt-charset" a solution? If there is no solution on the Kannel side, can I do any change on the Data Coding Scheme of the message to solve the problem?
