Jane,

That would be just fine. You can specify "dlr-mask" and "dlr-url" on the sendsms request. There's no need to have it set globally.

Remember to url-encode the dlr-url value, though.

Please note I'm using "dlr-mask" and "dlr-url" since "dlrmask" and "dlrurl" are deprecated on 1.3.2 (Those also work but probably will be removed on future versions) so I suggest you to change to the new proposed parameters.

Hope it helps,

Subject: FW: Problem compiling with MySql support

Thank you for the replies Sirs. >From your replies, I understand that I could use the dlr-storage=internal in my core group while specifying a dlr-mask and dlr-url="" ip/path/smsresponse.asp?type=%d in my sendsms like this:

 http://my kannel ip:sendsms-port value/cgi-bin/sendsms?username=usename&password=pass&from=my sms access code&to=mobile number&text=my-url-encoded-messgae&dlrmask=31&dlr-url="" ip or domain name/path/smsresponse.asp?type=%d&mclass=1

would still be ok? Note that I did not specify a drl-url in my core group because I put that only in my sendsms.

Thank you in advance!

Jane,

Sure you can, it could be ANY url (a domain name, an IP, etc).

Please next time send the question to the list, so you'll get more people reading your questions. :)

Regards,

Thanks Sir still on dlr, I have a question whether my drl-url could point to another IP even if I used the default internal dlr?

Thank you,

Jane

Dear Jan,

Not yet, I'll be trying to fix it and I'll post to the list if I find anything.

Best regards,

recompile? the only thing you have to tell Kannel is where to "find"

(in terms of connection details) the mysql database for the DLR

storage. It may be local or remote. The config sections provide these

information.

No, you don't need to "hardwire" things here, so there is no need for

recompiling.
