sending binary data

Hi all, how can I send binary data over SMS? right now i can sen plain text 
messages like this:

http://smsbox.host.name:13013/cgi-bin/sendsms?
username=foo&password=bar&to=0123456&text=Hello+world

but how can i send binary data, like a logo image or a tone
