Also check out the Nokia 6610 & 6100. These are not very expensive and have a modem. Also note that if you just need to send/receive text messages using a Nokia phone, then check out Gammu (http://www.gammu.net/). It has a SMS daemon which will allow you to send/receive sms using files. Works with almost all Nokia phones. BTW.. Is there anyone interested in adding support for non AT command Nokia phones in kannel, using gammu or some similar library. Regards, Ambar Roy
