Ady,
Thank you for the reply, but I do configure as root. Does root has
limit access too in Trustix? Refer to Alejandro post, I guess this
issue is about Kannel doesn't support MySQL 4.1x CMIIW.And please check
my latest post about this problem.

Make sure that every directory needed by compiler is readable, Trustix
claim as secure Linux, so there's strict rules on this distro

Do you have the mysql-devel package installed?
Hope it helps,
PS: I'm feeling a sort of dejà vu about this question being asked and
answered a zillion times on this very list (I account for 4 or 5
times). I think this should be clarified in the documentation/FAQ,
since it seems to be a very common mistake...

Any of you has successfully install Kannel 1.4.0 from source (.gz)
on
Trustix 2.2 with MySQL support enabled? Because I always get this
error message "configure: error: Unable to find MySQL client libraries"
from
command
./configure --prefix=/usr --sysconfdir=/etc --with-mysql
--with-mysql-dir=/usr
--disable-ssl --enable-start-stop-daemon --with-defaults=speed
--with-malloc=native --disable-assertions. I have tried to copy all
libmysql* in /usr/lib into
/usr/lib/mysql but still no lucky. FYI I also have installed all
MySQL
package. Thank you for any reply.
