That page doesnt have a character set encoding indicated.
I think -if omitted- it defaults to (something, not sure... latin1?) and shouldnt contain special characters.

Wap is kind of picky about that. http is more forgivable.

Subject: WML Errors

Hi,

I have some problems with wml pages which contain special characters (like à, é, ç, …), Kannel doesn’t seem to be able to display them and produces an error message :

2005-10-04 14:27:19 [5464] [8] DEBUG: WSP: Converting from <text/vnd.wap.wml> to <application/vnd.wap.wmlc>

2005-10-04 14:27:19 [5464] [8] ERROR: WML compiler: Compiling error: libxml returned a NULL pointer

2005-10-04 14:27:19 [5464] [8] WARNING: WSP: WML compilation failed.

2005-10-04 14:27:19 [5464] [8] DEBUG: WSP: Content convertion failed!

2005-10-04 14:27:19 [5464] [8] WARNING: WSP: All converters for `text/vnd.wap.wml' at `http://wap.***.com/' failed.

For example this page displays well with a http proxy but not with kannel : http://wap.weatheronline.co.uk/wap/land?L=frFR00

I add that I use libxml 2.6.20

Anyone may help ?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Nicolas.
