Hello,
We setup Kannel (Version 1.4.0) properly on Fidora Core 3 Linux and
connect that to SMSC via SMPP (Ver 3.3)!
The integration is seamless and working perfectly EXCEPT one tiny yet so
annoying problem.
The case is when the mobile phone passes "@" sign as in SMS Message "Send
[EMAIL PROTECTED], Hi This is subject, Hi This is Body of the email",
to Kannel Gateway, the gateway interprets/decodes the sign as "%A1" which
is Inverted !. Of course, consequently, when the gateway provokes the
Content Application (written in PHP to send out email), and when the
application finds the weird sign Inverted ! instead of "@", it gets
confused and fails.
I use default encoding wherever required and I am clueless about it. Of
course, currently, my workaround is to capture that Inverted ! and replace
it with"@" but it is not the way it should work.
The URL Encoded value of "@" is %40 where %A1 is Inverted ! and it seems
they are using Unicode.
Please help me make the puzzle less puzzling. Thanks, Folks.
