I want to try PostgreSQL as my external DLR.

Has someone tried postgresql as external DLR? Can I have a sample conf for DLR-DB group and PGSQL-CONNECTION group?

Suppose I have an operational postgresql as external dlr and a GSM modem as my virtual SMSC.  What I want to happen is inbound and outbound text messages will be registered to the database (inserted) with appropriate fields (timestamps, source number, destination number) so that I would be able to trace history of SMS messages. Is this scenario possible?

I can find the other fields such as timestamps, smsc, source, destination, etc. But what field in the DLR-DB group is for the text message itself? What are the other fields meant or represent such as field-service, field-url, field-mask, field-status, field-boxc? Can I view some sample values for these fields?

Is it possible to use fake smsc where I would supply fake timestamps, fake source number, fake destination, and other fake fields just for the sake of viewing the database table using simple select stataments?

Pardon for my rough understanding of Kannel and for barrages of questions.

Julius
