question number 1: what environment variable will i use (CPPFLAGS,
CXX, etc..) so that configure will detect that gcc is a cross-compiler?
flagging environment variables wont work, do i need some
dependencies?
(b) checking for accept in -lsocket... (cached) no
question number 2: what does this mean? what is -lsocket?
(c) checking for libiconv in -liconv... (cached) no
question number 3: As far as I know, libiconv is for cross-language
support (correct me if I'm wrong). Will it be okay even if I don't have
this? I'm using English anyway, all throughout the project.
(d) checking for sys/sockio.h... (cached) no
question number 4: where include or library is this?
(e) checking for getopt in <stdio.h>... (cached) no
question number 5: again, what is getopt in <stdio.h>? will it
significantly affect installation or operation of kannel if i don't have
this?

$MYSQL_DIR/include/mysql? how come they are not detected? was
it with the cross-compiling capability? i guess it's very crucial in
gw/dlr_mysql.c ... what will i do with this?

question number 7: I've read in freeTDS userguide that freeTDS can
replace (Sybase) Ct-Lib. So, do I just need to have FreeTDS even
without the CTLib? Or do I still need both? What is the significance of
having (or not having this/these) given that sqlbox patch adds this in
configure?
