Hi,

thanks for your answers!

It IS Vodafone DE. We had some problems at the end of last year with Vodafone;
after some disussions I have a direct support contact to the guys from the SMS-C
operation center (no more first level support...).
I think that I can trust that guys concerning their statements about the Ack.

The problem disappears after restarting kannel (bearerbox/smsbox) and happens
again after some time (1 day, 2 hours, 3 days....always different).

In the next step I will increase the time between the hearbeat-intervals.
We have now 50 seconds which might be too fast. If it happens again I can
provider a log with debug informationen.

Bye,
Jürgen

PS: We will think about a donation :-)

is this behaviour now constantly showing? Or was it only a peek time behaviour
of the SMSC?

Which SMSC provider? If it's Vodafone DE, and you see this constantly, then
they may have switched your EMI/UCP accounts to other machines, which
experience more traffic and hence longer latencies.

We had that effects at least with Vodafone DE.

Since you're a long time user of Kannel, please consider a donation to the
project :) we will need to pay for new hardware for the project and are in
constant colletion mood :)

Stipe
