Hi
I´m trying to implement a sort of "light" kannel gateway. What I need is if
some one can tell me the bare minimum list of linux pakages but still having
kannel work with all its features plus a mysql DB.
I´ve several days un-installing/reinstalling packages and testing if I can
still compile/run kannel... but this is an endless job !-(
So far, I´ve taken out all graphic packages, printer, bluethooth, Irda
drivers, web and other services I dont need; however I´m still having a big
OS footprint. The difficult part is to know wich libraries and complements
are neaded.
Any Ideas?
Kannel dependancy is currently mainly only libxml2 as external package. This is
the minimum. Even though the libxml2 functionality if mostly for WAP parts, not
sure if this could be avoided when doing a --disable-wap compile run.
Also iconv() is used for character transcoding, but this should be in glibc
anyway.
When you say minimum, this is relativ... You could drive this to the extend that
you even re-compile kernel to a minimum set and glibc from scratch. ;)
