aplhanunmeric sender in kannel ?

hi   how can i configure kannel with alphanumeric sender ?   when i send a SMS (smpp)  the global-sender-number  of  the Kannel-GSM-Modem appears . is it possible to cinfigure kannel as an alphanumeric sender ?     THX
