Hi
Lusiano
Suse
10 does not have the driver for the USB chip (ark3116) that came with the
T68i and the T610 among others. That is why you can not use it... unless you
compile the driver... I`m not linux guru, so I was unable to compile it so I get
another phone that works with suse (sony K510a)
THis
is the information I was able to find about the missing
driver:
Also,
just to remark that this driver comes with Fed5 so you can run kannel with the
T68i and T610 under fed5 with no problem.
If you
are able to compile the driver and can generate an rpm, please post it on
the list I`ll appreciate it
Regards
Alvaro

Asunto: RE: T68iI'm using T68i as smsc and DCU-11 usbserial cable.
when i try siemens c35i with serial cable (ttys0) it successufully opened when i execute the bearebox and i able send and receive sms using it.
Can anyone help me how can i make T68i and DCU-11
usable?
this is all my attempt :
open the USB information inside suse 10
using the information i get information about product id and vendor id
then run this command
> modprobe usbserial vendor=0x6542 product=0x232
> dmesg
and i get message that generic usb cable is attached to ttyUSB0
change the conf file to /dev/ttyUSB0
make the /dev/ttyUSB0 using this command if usb is not shown
> mknod /dev/usb/ttyUSB0 c 188 0
also try with
> modprobe pl2303
but nothing happened when running bearebox it say that i cannot connect and termination, always like that over and over again.
i use kannel 1.4.0
suse 10
forget about the libxml2 version
T68i
DCU-11 USB cable
Thank You all
