Thanks Leonard,

Yes, the carrier supports concatenation.

Can you explain a bit around what you say about 'split'?
"...can also set split_chars, split_suffix, split_prefix to amke the split
messages neater." Especial wht you mean with neater?

The only question is that with the same carrier configuration we did the
tests and it worked (long message arrived correct on the handsets).

The difference between the test environment and the actual is that we are
using two instances of Kannel running together, one to an sendsms-port=13921
and one to 13920, configured this way:

kannel13901.conf :

# Core configuration for smsgateway
group = core
admin-port = 13901
smsbox-port = 13912
admin-password = blablabla
log-file = "/opt/smsgateway/logs/smsgateway13901.log"
log-level = 4
access-log = "/opt/smsgateway/logs/access13901.log"
dlr-storage = internal

# SMSC CONNECTIONS
#
# The bearerbox will connect to the Large Accounts listed below.
# Each one of them is a smsc group (group = smsc).
# You can diferentiate them with the smsc-id for using them in the different
# services you set up later (accepted-smsc).
include = "la/1111.conf"

# SMSBOX SETUP
group = smsbox
bearerbox-host = localhost
sendsms-port = 13921
log-level = 4
log-file = "/opt/smsgateway/logs/smsbox13901.log"
log-level = 4
access-log = "/opt/smsgateway/logs/access13901.log"

# SERVICES
include = "services/1111-2222.conf"

###############################################################

kannel13900.conf :

# Core configuration for smsgateway
group = core
admin-port = 13900
smsbox-port = 13911
admin-password = blablabla
log-file = "/opt/smsgateway/logs/smsgateway13900.log"
log-level = 4
access-log = "/opt/smsgateway/logs/access13900.log"
dlr-storage = internal
