Hello There, Greetings from Pakistan! I am trying to work on kannel and starting to read up about it , but i have some basic questions that i need to be answered. I am going to use Kannel in my project , so i would be really obliged if someone can answer the following questions to clear up my understanding of kannel.
1) I want to use it as a SMSC . Is it possible ? ( I would like to connect a couple of gsm modems to it and configure kannel in such a way that i can put up kannel's one gsm modem's MSISDN in my cell phone as SMS Center Number and when i send message from that cellphone , kannel should receive it and route it to the number i sent it to from the cellphone , effectively creating kannel as a proper SMSC ). 2) I would like to use Kannel as a WAP gateway , where i hookup one analog modem to kannel and use this modem's number in my cellphone for analog datacall , and kannel should receive the call ( mgetty part for linux ) and be a wap proxy / gateway for that cellphone and i would be able to browse wap / internet through kannel over that.
