Hello group,

Please see following mail.  Alvaro says that there are no binaries for my
Linux 4.5.3 (coreutils), whereas I tried to install

kannel-1.3.2-3.0.rh7.fr.i386.rpm

package.

He says that my only option is to compile from scratch.  Can someone
confirm it please.

I was not able to install the package downloaded yesterday even after
running

rpm -ivh <package name>

I did not find any file concerning kannel, not even the conf file, or daemon.

Please help.

Thanks.

I think there are no rpm for your specific distro.

I´ll suggest you to user the tar file and compile it on your OS. look
at the userguide to know how but is will basically be:

.-configure
make
make install

then you should create your own init.d/kannel script in order to run
it automatically. The same for your kannel.conf .  look at the examples
provided into the source or browse this list to find more examples

Alvaro
