I have been using kannel for about a year and an half for some small
commercial purpose. And i was quite successful. I use to connect with
the SMSC through SMPP protocol in transceiver mode. The SMSC operator
gave me some value for the through put of the SMSC.
Now my question is, normally, what is the through put of a SMSC over
SMPP?? What is the maximum, minimum, average values?? What are the
factors affecting this through put??
How much does the protocol (SMPP, CIMD, SS7 etc) between SMSC and
SMS-Gateway affects the through put.
The internet connection speed between SMSC and SMS-Gateway (Kannel) may
be factor. Say, if my SMS-Gateway (Kannel) is placed on NIB (National
Internet Backbone) and has a 100Mbps ethernet card, what are the other
factors affecting the through put.
Note: Setup is in India.
