Dear Rene,
Thanks for your response. When testing the MO messages sent from the Kannel's fake SMSC, the MO message parameters are not inserted in the table. I think I'm still missing some configuration parameters for that (Please take a look on my conf file and tell me if I do miss anything). If MT messages are sent via inserting records in the SQLBox send table, what is the use of the SQLBox to listen on a port? Also please tell me what is the difference between the standalone version and the other version? As far as I know the Kannel's SMSBox and BearerBox should be running under any situations to receive, queue and route messages between different SMSCs. One more thing, if MT messages are sent via the Kannel's HTTP interface, will they be logged in the SQLBox tables or not? Thank you very much. This is an sql-box standalone parameter. Ask Martin Conte for more info. 2. You submit SMS messages by inserting them in the send_sms table. smsbox doesn't take a role in this. 3. MO Messages are inserted in the sent_sms table. 4. I have lately installed the standalone version versus latest Kannel CVS version on CentOS 4.4 using PgSQL 8.1 and the installation was successful and tables are automatically created. Actually there are some issues I still don't understand. 1. What is the usage of the SMSBox port parameter in SQLBox configuration? 2. How do I submit MT messages to SQLBox instead of SMSBox? 3. What is the role of SQLBox in MO messages received from the SMSCs? 4. Is there any available documentation describing how to configure the SQLBox and its role in the Kannel SMS gateway? I have tried using the fake SMSC to send MO messages to the gateway and used the SMSBox to send MT messages to an SMPP simulator but the SQLBox tables are still empty. Please find attached my configuration file. Thanks and best regards, Remon
