I am resending this question in the hope of getting an answer.
Can anyone tell me if it is possible to extract traffic information (e.g. WAP
logs) from the Kannel GW?
Thanks,
Colm

Subject: WAP Traffic Analysis on Kannelq
Hi,
I am new to Kannel and wanted to quickly establish if it might be suitable
for a demonstration scenario I am working on.
I am part of a team developing a product to consolidate subscriber profile
and context from across converged networks. Information such as location,
presence, CRM data, device profiles, preferences, etc is consolidated in a
dynamic data federation and exposed through simple interfaces to convergent
applications such as mobile advertising.
I have started to look at what information can be extracted from a WAP
gateway, and more particularly, what can be demonstrated in a lab environment.
Given that Kannel is Open Source we could potentially install it in our lab and
drive traffic through it using mobile phone simulators. My hope is that we
could extract information from the GW and perform some traffic analysis that
would complement the subscriber profile gathered from other data stores and
service layer capabilities.
From an initial look at the Kannel Achitecture doc and seach of the website I
can find no information on traffic monitoring.
Can someone please tell me if it is possible to extract traffic information
(or other useful usage information) from the Kannel GW?
Thanks in advance,
Colm
