Hi there,

I am new to kannel and want it to send-sms. For now I only want to
use kannel as my own internal-gateway to receive sms via http and send
them out via my own ISDN line. ANd I would like kannel because SMS usage
might grow and I want to be able to transparently change to a GMS-Modem
later.

And no, I don't want to send SMS via Internet to some SMSC because
SMS are used to trigger alerts if there are network outages.

I wonder if it is possible to this with kannel ?

I am sending sms for years using yaps which connects via ISDN to
some message-center using for example TAP-Protocol. Maybe I could pipe
SMS to an external Program like yaps to send them out ? Or maybe
kannel is able to drive a standard modem with AT-Commands, to connect to
some Message-Center and then to send out the SMS via TAP Protocol ?

Any ideas ?

Thanks
  Christoph
