I would like to add we also need all the prefixes used by each operator in
each country, not only the general mobile prefix.
This would be a huge help for internal routing through different lines, with
different pricing.
This wouldn't be entirely possible, at least not inside the EU, I think,
and certainly not in Greece.
Users are allowed to switch operators but keep their original number
(which they quite frequently do).
MO messages are not really a problem, you just have to keep track which
gateway the message came from and send the response the same way. MT is
a different story, but it is not widely offered commercially yet.
