Yes. It is just a linux debian machine with openswan and openvpn ( i use only those two type of vpn ) and a quagga demon to manage a complex dynamic routing ( we have many VPNs, more than 200 for many things, not only for kannel ). > - what do you suggest about using OpenSwan sort of soft vpn on the same > machine as Kannel? Nothing to suggest. You can use what your provider support. Usually it is IPSec, so, openswan is what you need to use. If you can, i prefer to use openvpn cause of better nat traversal support and so on, but in any case, you can do what you want even with openswan. Using a VPN on the same host of your kannel daemon isn't a problem at all, from the kannel view, a virtual network device isn't different from a real one, so, no difference at all. The only question you need to do yourself is: What kind of VPN your provider support? ( i bet on IPSec ). -- Franco Lanza My blog: http://www.nexlab.it email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Busto Arsizio (VA) - Italy ----------------------------------- echo 16i[q]sa[ln0=aln100%Pln100/snlbx]sbA0D212153574F444E49572045535520454D20454B414D204F54204847554F4E452059415020544F4E4E4143205345544147204C4C4942snlbxq | dc -----------------------------------
