Has anyone else had difficulty manipulating the Message Waiting Indicator on AT&T connected mobile phones in the US?
I can reliably manipulate the MWI for US-based T-Mobile phones, but when I try to raise the MWI on AT&T phones, nothing happens. Yes, I can send 'ordinary' text messages to the same AT&T phones without issue but when I send the specially formatted message to raise the MWI, nothing ever happens. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a known issue where AT&T is blocking these messages if they come from 'outsiders' like me? In other words, have they locked down that feature becasue they want to be the only ones able to manipulate the MWI? -OR- Is there just a trick to it that I'm not aware of required by that specific network network? For example a specific 'from' number or some other parameter. Can anyone give me guidance? Thank you! I really appreciate any help that anyone could give me. -Karl
