OK. This is different output than in the previous mail. So I guess you fixed LD_LIBRARY_PATH and now it finds gwlib. Before it couldn't. Now it seems that it cannot find libxml2.a (or it is not in the compilation flags).
Alej is the main guy for sqlbox, and I am glad he is on the thread. But in the meantime let's try a couple more things. Please run "find /usr/local -name "libxml*". I imagine that it is under /usr/local/lib. You are using 32bit OS right? 64bit libraries are elsewhere. After you verify location of libxml2.a and agries with LD_LIBRARY_PATH, try to hardcode it to your compile flags. I see that you use CLAGS to declare extra libraries. That's not standard, this should be a placeholder for "-O6 -s -Wall...". There should be a variable "extra-libs" or smt like that for libraries. configure --help should help you.
