I tried it, but did not get any tty there.
I rememberd that 10 years ago I connected a console via the serial port and
sent the log via /dev/ttya. (guess what, it worked).

I use a V20z and solaris 10 on X86

It works great.

I now test to see how I can send any sms I receive to an email (I already have
the other way around set).

:)

Did you try "grep tty /var/adm/messages" ? Beats the hell out of downloading
freeware :-)

I am also trying out a wavecom. Do you mind teeling me what machine are you
using? I tried it on an SunFire X2100 wi, but the RS232 port is very low (+/-
6V). Solaris could see the wavecom, but wavecom couldn't understand Solaris.

Never mind.

Found it as /dev/ttya :)

Sunfreeware package works like a charm.

All,

I am trying to connect a gsm modem (wavecom) to kannel on a solaris 10 (x86)
via the serial port.
Anyone tried it before ?

Regards,

Ronen
