yep, it is... In fact Kannel is the WAP GW, not the MMSC part. Which means
Kannel is able to transport the MMS via the underlying WTP/WDP datagram stack
implemented in Kannel.

Unfortunately there are some flaws in the WAP stack, at least if you consider
using it in a real GSM MNO network. For a real GSM MNO network production
environment I strongly suggest using the Kannel CG (carrier-grade) commercial
version.
