I will have to add also, that if finding the cheapest gateway to route your
SMS is your main objective, kannel is not the right choice. Kannel is the
gateway (ESME) that needs to be configured with all available routes, and
can do preferential routing according to rules. The rules for that must be
configured and known in advance by the user.

First of all, it's "Kannel". Not kenel.
Second, Kannel is not an SMS center. Kannel is an ESME.
Third, you need some knowledge on HTTP, webserver (maybe Apache) and
PHP.
If you read the userguide you will know how to invoque php
functions from Kannel.
