These are the values that our smc centre gave us for testing.
They have come back to me and made me change some other values and now I'm 
waiting to see if they got the test message.

Hi,

Before you got the same exact error. Therefore it was not a question of 
setting the source address, but rather setting the correct source address. 
It must be a valid mobile number. Why is your destination 12 digits, and 
your source only 8?

After much conversation with our SMS provider we are now able to bind to
their service.
However I'm getting the following error message when sending an SMS:

2009-05-01 14:24:20 [18420] [6] ERROR: SMPP[link0]: SMSC returned error

0x0000000a (Invalid Source Address) in response to submit_sm.

They say I need to set the source address to 21900000 but I've no idea 
how
to do this.
Is there a setting in the kannel.conf I need to add?

But my question is , it should log all the details to kannel log. 
(retring cant connect to smsc..etc..ip and all the details..) why it's 
not displaying in the logs..
try a netstat also and tcpdump to ur smpp provider's ip..

can u ping to ur default gateway ? or try a traceroute to the smpp 
providers network

I've confirmed with the operator their IP and port and they seem 
certain that they have opened their firewall to the IP address of the 
our Kannel server. Although he has gone away to double check.
In the meantime I'll see what a TCPDump gives me.

Then you quite probably either have a network problem between you and 
the SMSC, you have entered a wrong ip-address or port in the config 
file, or the operator has not allowed access from your IP-address in 
their firewall or SMSC.

Ask the operator if they have forgot to activate yoru account, if you 
can find no fault with the network configuration.

Yeah I already tried that but it still shows no binding attempts.
It just tells me everytime it can't connect to the SMS center.
