Hi,
first: there are much better groups for that problem than the kannel
mailing list. This is a problem with the operating system and
hardware, so some centos list might help you much better and faster.
Second: "is undetected" isn't describing a problem. Either your system
doesn't detect the card, then you didn't put it correctly into the
slot or it has trouble in finding the driver, then you have errors in
the bootlog and syslog which you should at least send to a list.
Third: "unbranded" doesn't exist. Maybe the card was not in a big box
with "MSI-Logo" on it, but still the manufacturer is printed on the
chipset.

modems. Due the server only have 2 onboard Serial, I need to extend
using PCI card.
I had bought local I/O serial PCI card 32 ports(unbranded) but the
OS undetect and had difficulties to find the driver.
