Hi,

Sorry to bother but the problem has been solved.
It seems like I have to change the default encoding in the firefox browser in
the fedora core 10 from Western(ISO-8859-1) to Unicode(UTF-8) and everything
works fine.

Subject: Unable to send chinese character to my handphone
Date: Tue, 2 Jun 2009 18:36:34 +1200

Hi everyone,

I've configured Kannel in the fedora core 10 environment and everything is
working fine until I try to send an sms with chinese character in it.
I have no problem receiving the sms with chinese character with an asp.net web
page as its interface.
Here is my http request string:

http://localhost:13013/cgi-bin/sendsms?username=tester&password=foobar&to=XXXXXXXXXX&coding=2&charset=UCS-2&text=羅永超(some
 chinese character)

The output I should be getting on my phone is 羅永超(some chinese character) but
instead I got some unknown string.
Can anyone help? Thank you.
