Disregard this post.  I have figured it out.

FYI, the problem was that the other user wasn't starting smsbox

I am able to send sms via lynx from two separate workstations using


r...@mycompy:~# lynx -dump 
"http://localhost:13004/cgi-bin/sendsms?username=smsalert&password=password&to=0123456&text=TEST";
My colleague, on the other hand is getting the following message
Looking up localhost:13004
Making HTTP connection to localhost:13004
Alert!: Unable to connect to remote host.

lynx: Can't access startfile
I have no idea.  We are both ssh-ing into the same comp, but from very 
different original locations.  I have no idea what is different other than this.
I'd be most appreciative if someone has an idea.
