Hey Edurardo,

Thanks for your response!

If you need premium sms, shortcodes and send/rcv higher volumes in less
> time, then you should look for a real SMSC connection.

Well, regarding this, I would like to share some more information with you.
Here, I'm not aiming at bulk SMS as of now (however, a possibility of
sending bulk SMS in near future cannot be denied). I'm really curious about
ShortCodes. Can you please elaborate upon it a little bit?

I'm trying to develop a web service for people having their cellphones
without a GPRS/EDGE connectivity so that they can reach out to my site using
simple text SMS. Will I need ShortCodes for that? And if the answer is yes,
then how can that be achieved? I mean, AFAIK, short codes are generally used
for premium SMS services, e.g. advertisement campaigns, etc. Whereas in my
case, I just want some basic communication between the users and my website.
So the whole point is, I do not need bulk SMS as of now, neither do I need
Premium SMS, what I'm not sure of is, whether or not do I need ShortCodes to
achieve my goal. The numbers that you have quoted, (around one million SMS
in a month using several computers) are pretty impressive and I guess that's
more than what I need.

Nikhil Lanjewar.
